The list of contents is filled out when packing the personal effects. It is important to label all boxes with the shipper’s name, address, telephone number. We advise you to go over the list of contents before packing and use it when labelling. Check out the list of contents sample (available at secpac branches)to make this process easier or ask one of secpac crew to fulfil on your behalf. the shipper can state on the list of contents whether he/she wants to insure the shipment. SEC PAC encourages customers to insure their shipments, as they are often very valuable and the carrier’s liability is limited by law. SEC PAC do not handle the sale of insurance from any insurance company but will be assisting you in case if you need help
Choosing an Insurance Company
When you choose an insurance company, you need to look at the reliability, trade-name, network, policy (total loss, all risk, full cover etc...) if you are getting the insurance done by a brokerage firm , then get the details of the insurance company and the office address and telephone No at the destination
To claim the insurance
The damaged shipment must be notified to the agent or the office of the insurance company and get their guidance before moving further at the time of clearance
